From the archives, Same Rock, Different Hall, was recorded on 8/11/01 in Cleveland, Ohio. I have always loved this performance for so many reasons. The location was our first time playing this stage and it was a thrill. The drummer, Mike Mann, was amazing. This was his one and only show with The Damaged Pies as Mike was filling in as our previous drummer just left. Mike had four practices, only two with the entire band. He was amazing. Before we took the stage, he asked me how does Same Circus go? Got to love live music! Dave Warren was such an amazing player and a force on guitar. When we started it sounded like a jet taking off with Dave's guitar. Jim McCabe was on bass and he was , as always, so steady. Jim provides so many hooks on the bass for me to play off of. This show is a favorite. We also shared the stage with some great friends and performers that day in Brad Yoder, Mon Gumbo and The Convertible Jerks. This was truly a special day.
The recording is a bit raw, but it really is a good record of the day. The audio is actually off of a video camera. This why you will hear the occasional commentary. Steve Adams took the audio and cleaned it up. I have remastered it for this release.
