about

The Nightwatch came about when I heard Amy Withrow sing in a church folk group. Amy had one of the most beautiful voices I have ever heard and I asked her if she would sing with The Damaged Pies. She asked if I could write something for the folk group to perform, although the folk group never did actually perform it, we did record it and it became The Nightwatch.
Luckily for me, one of my best friends, Steven E. Adams, is also one of the most talented musicians I know. Steve was kind enough to engineer and produce the recording and he even played several instruments as well. So over the next three years between two births, schedules and other musical commitments, The Nightwatch was completed.
The story centers on the life of Jesus Christ as a man. It is about his coping with ,and his acceptance of, his destiny.
I did not want to write about the Crucifixion, because I did not want to write another Jesus Christ Superstar, although I like some of the music, I felt that the story would be more centered on the struggles leading up to this event. The story ends at the events surrounding the Last Supper.
